Changing a Drupal 11 site to a static site
I’ve been running a drupal site on upsun for a couple of years now but it is not particularly interactive so I want to try running it as a static site. I have created a new upsun project with the static code from drupal’s tome module. The exported code runs fine on my local apache server but I have not found a way to preview the installation now uploaded on upsun. I get a 500 Internal Server Error with the address displayed on the project page. It appears that I need to redefine the Route 53 DNS CNAME variable, loose the custom domain on the currently running upsun project, then create a custom domain with the same name on the static project. Is this a fair description of what I need to do to see if the new project is running okay?
1. Change CNAME value (Route 53 DNS record)
2. Delete custom domain from active site
3. Create custom domain (same name) on static project.

Hi bscottholmes,
It looks like you had your issue solved with a direct ticket, but for anyone else who stumbles across this post, the process to achieve what you were attempting generally is:
upsun domain:delete <yourdomain.com> -p <old-project-id>)upsun domain:add <yourdomain.com> -p <new-project-id>)Well now neither site works. The custom domain name on my original site seems to be stuck in limbo. I am unable to assign it to either project “This domain is already claimed by another service”. The CNAME value on Route 53 has been reset to its original value, but it doesn't work with either.
